Speciale galaXia: the VOLTS

Tom Burgess, il lead singer della band, ha preparato un messaggio speciale per i “galacticos”:
<< The Volts were formed in 2012 when twins Mike and Jim Webster joined with Tom Burgess and Dougie Hockley to form a function band with a difference. Whilst The Volts aim to entertain their audiences with committed and passionate performances of crowd pleasing tunes, they make it their mission to select songs that are less obvious,... songs have not been done to death by more typical function bands. Having all previously been professional musicians with international record deals, touring the world and gaining glowing reviews from the music press, the members of The Volts thought they had seen and done it all...until the opportunity arose to play for you in this wonderful venue. This evening is a truly special event in a truly special setting. The Volts hope you have a great time. Because they will be. >>

The Volts sono nati nel 2012 quando i gemelli Mike e Jim Webster hanno deciso, insieme a Tom Burgess and Dougie Hockley, di formare una “function band” un po’ diversa. Se l’obiettivo dei The Volts è quello di intrattenere l’audience con performance piene di energia e di passione, la loro missione è quella di farlo con canzoni che, per quanto molto note, sono meno ovvie… canzoni e musiche che non si trovano ripetute ad infinitum da ogni sorta di band.

Tutti i membri della band hanno alle spalle una carriera da musicisti professionisti con incisioni di dischi sul mercato internazionale, world tours e apprezzamento della critica musicale. Pensavano quindi di aver visto e fatto tutto… fino a quando non si è presentata questa opportunità di suonare in un luogo così stupendo (il Cutty Sark, ndr). Questa serata è un evento davvero speciale in un luogo davvero speciale. The Volts si augurano di regalarvi una serata da sballo. Perché loro saranno da sballo.
