Silicon Britain: The Rise of Technology and Entrepreneurship in the UK, at the E2Exchange National Reception on 5th June. 

British serial entrepreneurs and two of E2Exchange’s founding Board Directors; Luke Johnson and Brent Hoberman will be joining Silicon Valley pioneers Keith Krach, Co-founder of Ariba Inc and Chairman of Docusign and Renaud Visage, Co-founder, Eventbrite to give us their views on how Britain is following the US’s lead in supporting the growth of SMEs and explore what else needs to be done to accelerate UK’s rate of SME growth. We wish to encourage innovation, support early stage investment and reduce the investment gap in the UK.

The Speakers:

Brent Hoberman is a shining success in the entrepreneurial world:
• Co-founder of Lastminute.com and was CEO from its inception where it was sold for $1.1bn.
• Non-executive board member of Guardian Media Group, TalkTalk and Shazam and the founder of Founders Forum in 2005.

Luke Johnson is Chairman of Risk Capital Partners, serial entrepreneur, author, columnist and Special Advisor to E2E:

• Majority-owner of Patisserie Valerie. It has just been announced that Patiserie Valerie will be floated on the London stock market with a plan to raise £33m
• He is the former Chairman of Channel 4 Television, columnist for the FT and is the man behind Pizza Express’ success.
• Luke is also a non-exec board director for Metro Bank Plc.

Keith Krach -“Addicted to the adrenalin rush of building and selling companies” Keith has founded and sold numerous companies including:

• Rasna Corporation sold for $500 million.
• Ariba Inc he IPO’d at $34 billion market capitalization.
• Keith is now Chairman of the electronic signature specialist Docusign.

Renaud Visage -Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer of Eventbrite.

• With a focus on strategy and growth for the company that has processed more than $2 billion in gross ticket sales for organisers in 183 countries.
• Eventbrite recent raise $200m in investment (in America).
